The median nerve has been one of the first peripheral nerves extensively studied using diffusion tensor imaging (DTI). DTI shows promise in diagnosing and monitoring carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS), especially in cases without obvious compression. This presentation aims to review the technical aspects of DTI and quantitative analysis of the median nerve in the carpal tunnel.
