Abstract:
Uptalk and vocal fry are two common voice qualities used by young adults today (Blum, 2016). Our research explores the impact that uptalk and vocal fry may have on a listener’s perceptions of a speaker. Participants listen to recordings and answer questions based on their opinions of the speaker.
