Abstract:
We conducted a secondary data analysis using longitudinal data to understand the impact of stuttering on adult labor market outcomes. We find that people who stutter are more likely to be unemployed and underemployed. Additionally, a significant pay gap exists. Last, we find that stuttering impacts males and females differently.
