In this proposed analysis, we explore the causal impact of the largest worksite immigration raid in recent years on local rental market conditions. To do so, we use scraped data on rental housing advertisements before after the raid of CVE Technology in Allen TX in 2019. We consider how the raid may have impacted rents for housing where detained workers resided and how landlords may have altered their behaviors for units proximate to the raid. Initial findings provide tentative support for these arguments.
